The Rough Stock Rodeo brings the action with saddle bronc riding, chute dogging, mounted shooting, and bull riding! Each event is limited to just 12 competitors, so every ride counts. Contestants are scored equally on their performance and the animal’s performance—making every matchup exciting and unpredictable.

We also mix in a variety of family-friendly rodeo events to keep the whole crowd entertained. The show runs approximately 2 hours of nonstop excitement!

Cowboy mounted shooting is a timed event. It uses a set of 10 balloons attached to stands, set in one of more than 50 approved patterns. The patterns can include such maneuvers as turning around a barrel, switching direction and going through a “gate” or relatively narrow opening. The balloon patterns often include a “rundown” – a line of five balloons set on a straightaway.

A rider uses two .45-caliber, single-action revolvers, each carrying five rounds of black-powder blanks that have an effective range of 10-15 feet. The rider must cock the gun before each shot. After five shots, the rider must holster his first gun and unholster his second while on the run. There are time penalties for missing a balloon.

Josh, a rising local country artist from Auburn, brings an authentic sound shaped by legends like Clint Black, Keith Whitley, The Eagles, Blackberry Smoke, and Ben McPeak. With strong, soulful vocals and smooth acoustic guitar, Josh delivers a performance that blends classic country roots with a modern edge.

Catch him live at the King County Fair, where he’ll be performing at the Gold Buckle VIP Bar. It’s the perfect spot to kick back, grab a drink, and enjoy great country music in an exclusive setting.

In saddle bronc and bareback riding, a contestant must "mark out" their horse; that is, they must exit the chute with their spurs set above the horse's shoulders and hold them there until the horse's front feet hit the ground after the initial jump out of the chute. Failing to do so results in disqualification.
